Calendar of Events shown below is the list of future known events that will occur and a list of completed events thus far into the year.

The Cruise in Company:

Members sail together in a fleet of boats into the Wash and then return together. This event is especially ideal for novices and more experienced sailors are there to help in case of emergencies among other things. This past year it has been commonplace to sail to Sutton Bridge and moor up there for the evening under the supervision of the Yacht Harbour Master, whereby members have dined together at the Bridge Hotel. This event occurs Spring/Summer. Please Note that we still tend to have special events at the Bridge Hotel/or other venues for meals in the Autumn/Winter period

Fishing Competitions:

This is an annual event whereby members have a day out in the Wash and compete to win best boat and best catch. There are 2 trophies: The Colin Lee trophy and the Angie Paterson trophy.

Aug 11 2007	Annual Boat Fishing Competition (completed) Saturday 11 August is the Annual Boat Fishing Competition. We hope you will be able to participate and look forward to seeing you on the day. Sep 1 2007	1&2 September Cruise in company (completed)

Oct 27 2007	Annual General Meeting (completed) At this AGM members will be able to vote on proposals to the club. Please note there is also the election of the committee. Results of this event will be on the newspage here.

Dec 22 2007	Club Special Christmas Meal (completed) On the Sat 22nd December 2007 all members are welcome to come to our Christmas meal at the Bridge Hotel. Please however book in advanced as stated in the above link. The link contains a booking form and menu for this event. Click here for result of this event.

Feb 16 2008	Valentines Night Meal (Completed) Click link above for more details on this event. Valentines Evening Meal, first club event of 2008 in February. This event is a gathering of a few members. Possibly followed by a speech.

Apr 19 2008	First Fishing Competition-Moved to 10th May with Bouys due to Poor Weather Details of this are included in link.

May 10 2008	Spring: Sail around the Buoys and Spring Fishing Competition (Completed) Both the Spring Fishing Competition and Buoys will occur on this day. It is vital that members contact Angie Paterson if they are interested in either of these events. Details of events included in the link above.

May 24 2008	Cruise to Wells Depart 24^th WYH 0800hrs arrive Wells 2100hrs. Depart Wells Sunday 25th 1030hrs arrive WYH 2100hrs. Feel free to stay extra day or two. Wells HW is same as Wisbech Cut. Please contact chriswillpearce@aol.com if you are interested

Jul 2 2008	Cruise to Grimsby 2nd to 5th Grimsby Cruise Depart 2^nd WYH 0600 hrs and Return WYH Sat July 5^th 2000hrs. Please contact chriswillpearce@aol.com if you are interested

Jul 19 2008	Piratey Cricket on the Long Sand (Future Event, Not Completed) This cricket match will take place on the Long Sand in The Wash: to be in the Style of "Pirates of the Caribbean". Sailors will dress up as ‘wee pirates’ and play for the honour of Wisbech Yacht Club ! Pirates Cricket match. Depart 19^th WYH 0730hrs and Return Sunday 20^th 0900 if Dinner at Riverside.

Aug 16 2008	Cruise to Wells (Future Event, Not Completed) Wells Weekend. Depart Sat 16^th WYH 0600hrs, and Return WYH Sunday 17^th 1900hrs. Please contact chriswillpearce@aol.com if you are interested

Aug 23 2008	Wisbech Water Festival (Future Event, Not Completed) The Harbour Office are organising a local Festival. A variety of artists will be playing at this event but the main theme is Last Night at the Proms.

Sep 13 2008	Second WYC fishing competition (Future Event, Not Completed) Same as details above for Spring WYC Fishing Competition. This is part 2 of the series and will be followed by prize giving.
